RIP Derek Rose

It is with great sadness that we report the death of Dr Derek Rose, who led the African armyworm project in Kenya in the 1980s. One of Derek’s many legacies is the ‘African Armyworm Handbook’, which he compiled with Bill Page and Charles Dewhurst. He will be sadly missed by all of his family, friends and ex-colleagues.
