SYNOPSIS: There were no reports of African armyworm (Spodoptera exempta Walker) outbreaks from any Member State.

CURRENT SITUATION:
There were no reports of armyworm outbreaks from any Member Country.

OUTLOOK (May – Jul 2015):
The threat of armyworm outbreaks has diminished in other Member countries except in Kenya and Tanzania. Plant Protection units in these countries are advised to continue servicing the pheromone traps to enable early detection of outbreaks.
