SYNOPSIS: The 2012-13 African armyworm season witnessed extensive outbreaks throughout southern Africa, with major outbreaks reported between December 2012 and June 2013 in at least 9 countries, including (in chronological order): Zambia, Tanzania, Malawi, Zimbabwe, Botswana, Namibia, South Africa, Lesotho and Ethiopia.
